Amidst the hustle and bustle around our offices lately I’m excited to slow down and take a few moments to share with you what’s happening in Kidventure! This past Sunday September 5th was an exciting morning in Kidventure! We had a special guest teacher in our preschool class during first service; do any preschoolers remember who it was? It was Pastor Jon! I had to include a picture of this GREAT moment. As we began our new preschool unit “Ten Hut, Jr.” Pastor Jon did a great job teaching us that God knows us and made each one of us special! Over the next 7 weeks in preschool we will fall in rank and join the Help Corps as we march through the life of David. Each week your child will join Help Corp Recruit, Mardy, as he travels to new islands to help others! Preschoolers, you won’t want to miss a week!!
In our elementary program (K-5th grade) we continued into the Wild West with our unit, “On the Trail.” Tex and Cookie taught us this week we should love God and love others! Basically the Ten Commandments can be summed up in loving God and loving others. This week join us to discover how the church can be the best that it can be as we follow Tex and Cookie on the cattle drive out west!

Our Next Generation Ministry is all the volunteers who work with children and students birth through 18 years. The Next Generation Team has been searching for an administrative assistant to help further our impact. I am pleased to announce that Alana Geist (alanagprairieheightscom) has accepted the position as of Monday August 23. Alana worked previously at US Bank and Wells Fargo before feeling God call her to something more meaningful. She wishes to use her talents and skills to serve God and His family. Alana and her husband, Erne, have been married now 8 years and have a beautiful two-year-old daughter, Aspen. They enjoy spending family time at the lake, watching movies, and reading. Aspen loves to go to story time at the library! Thank you to those of you who have been praying for God to call the right person to join the team. We are excited to have Alana as a member of the team and are looking forward to the many opportunities ahead to truly make an impact on children, students, and families in our community!
May we continue to learn how to love God and love others more each day!!
