PHCC Update

I love being a part of God’s family here in Fargo-Moorhead.  I pray Christ’s love and His Word will shine very brightly through ALL of us to EVERY person.  I am also thankful to be a part of the Prairie Heights church family!  I am thankful for the contagious faith, obedience and desire to grow in Christ that I see in YOU!

Yesterday, I talked about a critical life subject but a very sensitive one…money!  Money and the strategic investment of our money is a huge piece of the legacy we will leave behind and the retirement we will walk into when our life on earth is done.  One thing that will make heaven an incredible place is the lives who are there through the strategic investment of our time and money.  Jesus taught us in Luke 16:1-9 that the greatest use of our money is to invest in a way that helps people make heaven their eternal home.

Jesus talked more about money than He did heaven and hell combined.  11 of his 39 parables are about money.  Jesus knew that the greatest competition His Father has for our hearts is our money.  God has and is teaching me a lot about GOING BEYOND WORLDLY WEALTH to INVESTING IN ETERNAL NET WORTH!

On Sunday, we gave everyone an opportunity to take a step in increasing their net worth.  If you would like to take this step click here.  Here are the inspiring results so far:

21 households made a decision to invest a regular weekly amount

10 households made a decision to invest a regular weekly faith amount

10 households made a decision to invest 10% of their income

29 households made a decision to continue investing 10% of their income

Remember, there are different spots on the journey of improving our investment practices!  But, the important part is that we are ON the journey.

Jesus said: “Where your treasure is, there your heart is also.” “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much…so if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?” “No servant can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and money.”

For those needing to strengthen their “money matters” Prairie Heights offers Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University twice a year.
