Sunday we wrapped up MUSiC4LifE with an unplugged sermon along with Carolina Liar’s “Show Me What I’m Looking For.” The sermon was “unplugged” in that Karl Kreutz and I did an unrehearsed sermon based on a session he led in his music appreciation life group and discussions he and I have had over the years. 10 years ago Karl walked in to Prairie Heights through his mother-in-law’s invitation. There were maybe 30 people in attendance. He was a great guy but not living for God. He started playing bass guitar in the PHCC band. He loved the camaraderie and the friendships, and he was making his mom happy by “going to church.” God started working. Karl started listening. He started learning and following as God led. He opened his life up to Christ. He started leading a life group. He is growing. God has changed and is changing him. It’s cool! He did an outstanding job of sharing with us the work of the Holy Spirit (watch this!).
The people I love, I call to account—prod and correct and guide so that they’ll live at their best. Up on your feet, then! About face! Run after God! Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you. Revelation 3:19-20 MSG
We handed out cups to every person. The cups represent our lives and how God is pouring out His Spirit and His presence continually upon us. BUT, if we are living in opposition to Him, searching for things other than Him, He cannot fill us because the door of our heart is closed. And, after we open the door of our heart to Him satan will do all that he can to tilt us out of alignment and make us ineffective. But, God is faithful and when we seek Him first we will find Him! 210 people turned in cups indicating that through the ministry of Prairie Heights they have opened the door of their heart or re-aligned their life to God’s will and Spirit! Wow, how cool is that!! Several people have asked me for the prayer that was on the screen. It is attached.
This week we start a new series March Madness. Here is a promo video!
We also showed a video update on the ministry center project.
Don’t forget…April 17th…10th anniversary…help us gather 1,000 people at PHCC that day…one combined service from 10:30 until noon with lunch afterwards…it will knock and bless your socks off!!
Have a fantastic week. See you on Sunday! Thank you for making PHCC a great place for changed lives!
