Hello Kidventure Families!!
Thanks for all those who were able to make it to Pizza Ranch on one of the past two Mondays! I had the opportunity to visit with many of you and really enjoyed it. We had over 100 people show up between the two locations, representing approximately 30 families. We raised $89.70 for our Next Generation Ministries at Prairie Heights and were able to donate some other funds to support a girls basketball team! I count this a success so thank you for coming out!
I had the opportunity this week to spend a few minutes in each classroom and loved every minute of it!! We are truly blessed at Prairie Heights, with the BEST volunteers in the world! I saw people pouring their energy into loving, playing, and teaching children of all ages. I challenge EVERY family to make Kidventure a priority for your children to attend. Every week is a new adventure as we seek to discover God’s great plans for our lives. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact our Kidventure staff at 701-298-9181.
In both preschool (3-5 years) and elementary (K-5th grade) this week, we learned all about patience. We find it funny that often the things we teach are the things that God is trying to teach us. For example, this past Sunday morning, was a hectic morning getting ready. The computer was freezing, the DVD wouldn’t play, one of the screens quit working, the PowerPoint wasn’t working, etc. As we worked furiously trying to get ready for the morning, someone asked Kia what the lesson was about. As soon as she responded, “Patience,” she began to smile. Clearly, this was one of those weeks we were learning patience does not come easy. Whether it’s waiting ten minutes to be seated at a restaurant, or, like David 1 Chronicles 22, waiting years to see a dream come true, having true patience takes patience. However, when we do start learning to wait without complaint, we allow God to work in us and through us in ways we can’t even imagine.
Parents, don’t forget you can view/download these devotionals to go further in depth with the lesson as a family:
Attention all elementary parents! Since this Sunday is Halloween, we decided we would help you get your money’s worth out of your child’s Halloween costume, and let them wear it to church! Please make sure the costumes are modest and steer clear of overly gruesome and gory content. We want this to be fun and wholesome for everyone!
THIS Sunday, preschool will begin a new unit entitled, “Kingdom Tales, Jr.” It’s going to be an exciting adventure as you join Sir Pogo the Knight and Darrin the Daring Donkey as they search the kingdom for the Armor of God. Each week the children will find a new piece of armor, and find out what that armor represents in God’s Kingdom.
Trunk-N-Treat is THIS Sunday from 4pm to 6pm in the Kohl’s parking lot on 13th Ave S in Fargo!! Help us get the word out as we are expecting over 1,200 people to attend this family fun event. You won’t want to miss the greatest Halloween event in the Fargo-Moorhead community!!!
Have an awesome week!!
