July 4 Parent Connection

KidventureHello Parents and Families,

I hope you enjoyed the 4th of July weekend and got to spend time with family! We had Family Sunday where we have children 5 years through 5th grade join their parents in service for the morning. We had a special hand out for the kids and many filled it out and turned it in for some Swedish fish candy. Pastor Dan challenged families to read through the book of Jonah once a week together during the next few weeks as we journey through the book of Jonah. I challenge families to spend time reading from the book of Jonah together!

This Sunday July 11, a drama group “Artos” from Alabama will be putting on a presentation that includes music, drama, games, dance, and even more for our preschool (3 and 4 year olds) and elementary (5years through 5th grade) children. I’m not sure what you have planned in your family, but the kids will NOT want to miss this opportunity. They will be putting on an exciting show as they lead us into the wild west to learn more about God this weekend. They will also be doing other things around the community this next week if you’d like to check any of those out click here. Please invite a friend or two and join us!

Next Sunday July 18th join us at the Red River Zoo (4255 23rd Ave. S., Fargo) for church at 11:00am! Make it a family day at the zoo with free admission, free carousel rides ONLY BEFORE church from 10:00am-11:00am, and a GREAT service at 11:00am. After service feel free to explore the zoo with your whole family! It will be yet another great opportunity for you to invite some friends to join you!

There is a lot happening in the community and around Prairie Heights which can make it difficult to keep up on what’s happening. So we have designed our website to help families keep up to date with information about family-friendly events and other fun things happening at Prairie Heights and around the community. We have created an Events page on the Prairie Heights website to help you keep up to date with current events happening throughout the community. From our homepage just click on “Events”. Stop by every once in a while to keep up with what’s happening!

Have a great week!
