Elementary March 20

Hello parents!

What an exciting Sunday we had this past weekend!  We kicked off our first ever church wide March Madness theme with a bang, and boy, was it a lot of fun!

In elementary (K-5th grade), we were joined by the preschoolers!  They stuck with us through the songs, the skit, and the video clips.  We still had regular small groups, however.  There, we talked about what a difference it makes when we don’t give 100% to God.  He asks that everything we do be done to the best of our ability, even if we don’t really feel like giving it our all.  We were able to see it happen when we did an experiment with rocks and water displacement.  When we just put small rocks in the cup of water, it didn’t change a whole lot.  When the big rocks were put in, the water overflowed!  That’s exactly what can happen in our lives when we give it our all!

Family Fun: Have you ever had that feeling, deep inside, where you just want to goof off and be silly?  Throw all your cares to the wind and let loose?  Well, Tuesday, March 22nd is National Goof Off Day!  So, here’s your chance!   Grab your family and have a whole day of silliness.  Talk in funny accents, share gut-busting jokes, make a silly meal (peanut butter pickle sandwiches, anyone?), or play a goofy game!   It doesn’t matter what you do, just have fun with it!  After all, your family will love you no matter how goofy you are!
