Early Childhood December 5

Hello Parents!

I pray that your week is filled with God’s presence. I hope that your family is able to spend time together this week. I had the opportunity to spend some time doing house chores, having dinner, and watching football with my wife, Amy, last night. I was reminded that amidst all the things that are required of us each day, the most important thing we can do is let our family know we love and care about them. The best way show our family we care is simply by giving our time to them. I challenge you to make an intentional effort to spend some time together as a family this week playing a game, going sledding, or whatever you enjoy doing together!

In preschool (3-5 years), we picked up our Sword of the Spirit, the Bible. When we use it correctly, it can be a powerful tool. Take a look at Acts 8:26-38. God told Philip to walk down the road from Jerusalem to Gaza. So, Philip did. After awhile he came across an Ethiopian eunuch who was having trouble understanding the book of Isaiah. Because Philip knew the Scriptures and who the prophet Isaiah was talking about, he was able to explain it to the eunuch and lead him to Jesus. How incredible is that? When we use our swords, we can do the same as Philip and make a huge difference in someone’s life.

We staff our nurseries with paid staff who are CPR and First Aid trained. The paid staff is assisted by loving volunteers who enjoy playing with kids. Please do not hesitate to approach our paid staff with any questions or concerns you may have. We are excited to help make every child successful in our classes. If you’d be interested in volunteering in one of our nurseries, visit our website.
