“Love your neighbor as yourself.” -Galatians 5:14
What does that look like for you? It could be something as easy as giving someone a ride to church, making a meal for a family with a loved one in the hospital, writing an encouraging note to someone in jail, or even simply helping shovel someone’s driveway.
We are so excited to be kicking off our Care Ministry teams and continue to reach out to those in need in the F-M community. We have identified 3 main needs of Care Ministry: Medical, Jail, and Beyond the Heights (community outreach).
Being a part of the Medical Ministry team would include doing hospital visits, in-home visits, making meals for families with loved ones in the hospital, and visiting new babies born, just to name a few.
Jail Ministry would entail visits and various administrative duties.
The Beyond the Heights team will be working on organizing different serve projects out in the community that Prairie Heighters can be involved in to love people with “no strings attached”. The team will find needs in our FM community and we, the church, will meet those needs together.
If any of these areas has a special place in your heart and you are ready to take that next step to Love Deeper and really live out the Great Commandment to love others, sign up for one of these teams. Email us at connectprairieheightscom (connectionsprairieheightscom) and a Care Ministry leader will follow up with you.
