April 4 Parent Connection

Hello Kidventure Families!

In our current unit, “Dr. Tomorrow’s Robot Repair Shop” we are learning to associate different parts of our bodies with a biblical truth. This week we learned that our mouth should remind us to praise God and encourage others! Our main point is, “I will use my words to encourage others!” Ephesians 4:29 tells usDon’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” As we celebrated Easter we were reminded that Jesus is a GREAT reason to use our mouth to praise God and tell others about Jesus. As a family make a commitment this week to letting ONLY positive, encouraging words come out of your mouths this week!Kidventure

Elementary Family Devotional (5 years to 5th grade)

Preschool Family Devotional (3 and 4 yrs.)

This Sunday April 11 and next Sunday April 18 will be a PG-13 service. All children are strongly encouraged to attend their Kidventure class during the celebration services. This week Pastor Jon will talk about “How to Have an Affair” and Pastor Dan will be talking about “Making Sense of Sex” the next week. There will be an additional Check-In station upstairs just outside the worship center to encourage families to check in their children during service. It’s going to be a great couple of weeks together as we encourage families to worship God in their appropriate worship arenas.

In Kidventure we have had a second Wii Gaming Console donated for our game rooms but are still looking for a small TV we can hook it up to for the younger children to use in their game room. If you have a smaller TV (22″ or less) with RCA hook-ups you would be able to donate please let me know. The game rooms have been a huge success as children have the opportunity have fun, make friends, and get acquainted with Kidventure in a non-threatening, fun environment.

Have a great week! Enjoy some time outside together as a family, too!!

Dustin Anderson, Kidventure Pastor
